AKR Parcel
Service Pvt. Ltd. is a fast growing ISO 9001:2000 Certified
company, with an aim to provide the Best Service in the Parcel Service Industry in India. The directors of
the company are Engineers, with strong aspirations to
bring in a positive difference to the parcel service industry.
The company had a humble start in February 1997, with
just a couple of vehicles, operating between Salem and
Chennai. Strong dedication coupled with hard work gave
it the foundation and the jumpstart to become one among
the top parcel service companies in Tamilnadu. Today it
is a professionally organized company with various departments
that function hand in hand to ensure top customer satisfaction.
Currently there are more than 250 offices all over Tamilnadu
& Pondicherry, and in a few places in Kerala, Karnataka
and Andhra Pradesh. About 200 vehicles are utilised to
carry the goods to their respective destinations. The
vehicles travel about 35,000 KM a day, and handle about
1000 Tons in a day.
Right from the beginning, the company focused on being
the trend setters; and after a careful analysis of the
weaknesses of the market, it introduced overnight service
for the first time ever in Tamilnadu by a Parcel Service
company. And very soon, door delivery and door pick up
for corporate customers was introduced, once again, for
the first time in Tamilnadu by a Parcel Service company.
And right from the 1st vehicle, we operated only with container bodied vehicles. This
was mainly to ensure the safety of the goods. These rapid measures soon became the main discussions
among the competitors, and they were forced to wake up,
as a fresh enthusiastic company was capturing their share
at a rapid pace.
The company
has a futuristic vision, and it is evident from its goals
and objectives. The company also has a lot of concern
for its employees, and strongly believes in maintaining
ethics. The company has a strict policy to never delay
any outstanding payments; so much so that the creditors
can blindly collect their cheques on the due date without fixing any prior
appointments. And we are PROUD of that!
